Grand mosque interiors should be planned around real worshipper capacity, entry and exit flow, column positions, women’s prayer areas, imam circulation and visibility toward the qibla wall. Mihrab, minbar, kursi, doors, chandeliers and carpet should be scaled as one architectural composition rather than selected separately.

High ceilings and large spans require layered lighting. Main chandeliers create the visual centre while supplementary ceiling lighting, qibla wall lighting and circulation lighting complete the system. Fixture dimensions, suspension points, maintenance access and electrical voltage must be confirmed before production.

Large hard surfaces can create excessive reverberation. Timber wall elements, carpet, upholstered areas, perforated or absorptive ceiling details and the overall geometry should be coordinated with the project acoustic strategy.
