Moschee für Arbeiterunterkünfte: Kapazität, Wudu, HVAC und schnelle Bereitstellung
A labour-camp mosque often serves many worshippers within fixed break periods, so capacity, wudu flow and HVAC performance matter more than decorative complexity.
Planung für Spitzenzeiten
Size the prayer hall from the largest expected congregation and available row depth. Entrances and shoe areas should prevent queues from crossing the prayer zone.
Wudu und Komfort
Wet-area capacity, drainage, ventilation and the distance between wudu and prayer areas should be coordinated early. Hot-climate projects also need realistic cooling and air distribution.

Labour-camp mosques are driven by shift patterns
Capacity should be based on actual prayer-time peaks and workforce schedules, not total camp population alone. Friday prayer may control hall size, wudu capacity and entrance circulation.
Rapid-deployment priorities
- repeatable modular structure
- durable washable finishes
- high-capacity shoe storage
- simple wudu drainage
- HVAC for dense short-duration occupancy
- safe external circulation
Relocation
If relocation is likely, module dimensions, lifting points and demountable services should be planned from the start.
Operations and cleaning
Labour-camp facilities often receive heavy daily use, so cleaning routes, durable floor finishes, replaceable taps and accessible filters matter as much as first-day appearance. Provide lockable storage for cleaning supplies and define who maintains wudu drainage, HVAC filters and external lighting.
Friday prayer and Ramadan peaks
Short-duration occupancy peaks can exceed the normal daily load by a large margin. Entrance width, shoe storage, cooling and wudu should therefore be checked against the highest realistic simultaneous use rather than average occupancy.
Project brief
Provide camp population, shift structure, Friday peak estimate, climate, available utilities, expected service life and whether the facility must later be relocated or expanded.
