MATERIAL & CRAFT

A Material System Built Around Detail and Workmanship

Copper offers a strong visual identity and can be formed into radial panels, standing seams and custom details around complex dome geometry. Its colour evolves naturally with exposure, moving from bright copper through darker oxidation tones and eventually toward patinated surfaces depending on environment.

Panel layout is designed around the dome radius and visual rhythm. The cladding system must also account for thermal movement, ventilation, substrate condition and transitions at the drum, skylights, finial base or adjacent roofs.

SERVICE SCOPE

  • Main mosque domes
  • Minaret roofs and spires
  • Shadirvan domes
  • Entrance canopies
PROJECT GUIDANCE

Copper Creates a Living Architectural Surface

Copper begins with a bright metallic character and changes naturally as the exposed surface ages. That evolution should be understood as part of the design, especially when a client is comparing the initial appearance with the long-term architectural character they expect for the mosque.

FAQ

Before You Request a Quote

Will a copper dome keep the same colour permanently?
Natural exposed copper changes appearance with time and environment. The expected ageing direction should be discussed when selecting the finish.
Can copper be used on both dome and minaret?
Yes, subject to the actual project details, and the two packages can be coordinated for seam direction and finish.
Can copper be installed over a steel dome structure?
Yes, with the correct secondary substrate and envelope build-up. The metal cladding should not be fixed directly without a project-specific support and waterproofing strategy.
Can you create a copper-look GRP alternative?
A composite effect finish can reference copper visually, but it is a different material system and should be specified as GRP rather than presented as real copper.
