ENGINEERING & SYSTEM

A Complete Dome System, Planned as One Project

GRC can be considered where the architectural concept calls for a mineral-based exterior appearance, moulded geometry or coordinated façade elements. The dome shell, support interface, panelisation and visible joints are developed around the actual building rather than treated as a standard catalogue product.

For larger forms, the project can be divided into manageable units so moulding, handling, transport and site assembly are considered from the beginning. The visible finish may be coordinated with cornices, portals, columns and other GRC elements when the mosque requires one consistent exterior language.

SERVICE SCOPE

  • Custom GRC dome shell development
  • Panelised or segmented production
  • Dome drum and transition elements
  • GRC cornices and architectural details
KEY CAPABILITIES

What This Service Can Include

CapabilityMineral architectural appearance
CapabilityMoulded repeatable geometry
CapabilityCan coordinate with wider GRC façade packages
CapabilitySuitable for project-specific panelisation
PROJECT GUIDANCE

Coordinate GRC Panelisation With the Building Structure

GRC dome shells are best developed as a panel system rather than a single abstract surface. Panel boundaries, returns, joint widths and support zones should follow the actual curvature and access strategy so the completed form remains visually calm.

FAQ

Before You Request a Quote

Can GRC be used for a complete mosque dome shell?
It can be developed as a panelised architectural shell when the supporting structure, panel size and project requirements are suitable.
Is GRC the same as GRP?
No. GRC is a cement-based composite reinforced with glass fibres, while GRP is a resin-based fiberglass composite. Their weight, finish and detailing are different.
Can GRC dome panels be exported?
Yes, subject to panel size, weight, packaging and destination handling arrangements.
Can GRC dome finishes match façade elements?
Yes, coordinated samples and finish specifications can create a consistent exterior family.
